Don't Underestimate These Moving Heads for the Price

I have wanted to buy some moving head lights for some time, but for the gigs I would use them at I didn't want to spend too much, plus the crazed rapid movements and strobing of the inbuilt programs were simply too annoying. I know I could take out the strobing and change speed by using a DMX controller, but finding a controller that has a decent audio sync is just as hard. To put it simply, the sound mode on these lights is great, with good beat sychronisation and smooth looking motion that gives the impression of more expensive lights. Colours and light output are strong, and for me the absence of strobing in the 4 standard programs is a big positive (it is in the DMX options however). Master/slave works well, but if you want to use pan-inversion (for a criss-cross action) you have to point the base of one head forward and the other back. Not the greatest build quality, and the plastic looks a little naff, but for the price these are excellent value for small to medium gigs.

Value For Money Fixtures

These fixtures offer two benefits, Colour Wash and movement, thus reducing the need for separate fixtures. There are four built in programmes all offering differing levels of movement. The colours produced are vivid and bright and a pair will be more than adequate for a medium sized venue. The units can be mastered / slaved and also offer Slave2 mode which gives opposing movement. These units are solidly and appear to be well built. Not in the same league as similar American DJ products, but not in the same price range either. I am very happy with these fixtures for both what they do and the great price. Perhaps not fixture that you would use all of the time but a very useful addition to your lighting arsenal. Good product, good price, recommended.

Functions well, DMX a bit awkward

This product performs really well, and delivers great effects for the cost. Linking together is really easy, and they can reverse Pan and Tilt to give versatility. I have not identified a way to limit the range of motion - so they do look a bit strange when they end up pointing away from the floor at times. Also, the DMX configuration was not as intuitive as other units I have used, so it was a little bit difficult to get true sync with music through DMX control. Overall though, a really well performing unit, bright, directed beams and simple to set up for standard use.

Still getting used to the product.

Lights are great so far; still learning what they can do.

Decent

With the price of these you can't expect 'fantastic' however, these are not far off. The light output is great and the blends of the colours are good too. However, I bought a pair and the motor seems to be failing in one already after only approximately 50 hours use in total (hence the 4 stars)

Product is perfect

The product is perfect for my needs and has a full metal structure unlike other similar products on the market.
