We bought four of these in 2017 to colour wash our town hall stage and they have performed well as part of our DMX daisy chain. However one failed on green during a technical rehearsal so a replacement was ordered (Sunday night) and our replacement arrived on Tuesday (Dress Rehearsal).
Delighted with the price and speed of delivery however unfortunately this was not a simple unplug old and plug in new. The fixture looks almost identical but there have been some changes since 2017. An in and out for the power lead… good for a power daisy chain. The challenge is the 7-channels in DMX mode are completely different so all cues had to be amended on the computer. Channel 1 was master dimmer with red on 5, green on 6 and blue on 7. The new fixture has red on 1, green on 2, blue on 3 with master dimmer on 4. Once this was programmed the new fixture could be used, but I have still to work out the effects for colour change/fade with settings not identical.
Bottom line… a good colour flood but watch if trying to integrate with earlier models bearing the same model description.
