I am writing this as I couldn't find any reviews of these on-line but decided to buy anyway. i'm glad I did. I have a friend who uses the Quad version and he has had great success with them.
I have recently bought four of these 18 Hex lights which I have mounted on 2 T-Bars along with an ADJ Stinger and a Mini Kinter. It will be used for both DJ and Band use.
The PAR Cans are extremely bright and the colours are very good. The White LED is very bright, but by also setting the RGB and Amber on full as well you can achieve the real full output and it is on par with a 600W Par Can in my opinion.
I am using them in comjunction with "My DMX 2.0" and the lights can be used to do some great effects. The inbuilt shutter strobe is very impressive.
The UV effect is better than i was expecting, they do make a bit of visible light at the cans especially on full power, but the UV effect is quite far reaching. With four of these, i can get great UV effect without having them at full power which is quite cool for lighting a stage between sets or combining with a strobe or Laser show.
The only down sides I have found is that the cable is hard wired into the unit, not an IEC connector and there is no IEC output for powerlinking. This is not a major issue but meant I had to rig a loom on my stands instead of daisy chaining all my LED fixtures.
Also the extra Amber colour channel in addition to RGB is not very bright on its own and also isn't automatically used when using DMX RGB mixing, so you have to mix your own Amber into your colours, but this is more a limitation of my DMS software and not the fixtures fault.
Overall a great fixture.
