Having bought new speakers I thought it was only fitting that I buy new stands for them. Having used standard tripods previously these stands offer a smaller footprint and look tidy. The base plate (with additional weight loaded) is heavy and provides a sturdy alternative stand solution. Easy to set up and the good quality you would expect from Gravity.

Nice & sturdy,does the job

If you have a very limited set up area these stands will be just right. With the base plates just over 45cm wide you'll fit in to the smallest of spaces. The additional base weight (included) is essential, without this I would not use these stand for speakers. The additional weight sits in the bottom of the stand using a very simple but effective lock-in method. As usual with all Gravity products, these stands are great quality and extremely well made. One word of warning, you need to be cautious if you are working close to the "audience". With a speaker on top these stands are stable but can be easily knocked over (it's happened to me!). That said, used wisely these stands give you another option for your set up. They could also be used for lighting with a Top Cap or suitable T-Bar without any issues. Great quality and 5 stars from me, I would have rated at 4 stars due to the "topple" risk, but that's not a product issue - you just need to be sensible about where you use it.

I bought this + the Gravity T bar to use as a lighting stand as the venue I go to is small and there's not really room for a tripod. The venue I go to isn't that tall either so by adding a 0.5m Gravity extension bar to get a bit more height the rig works well... and as with all Gravity stuff it's well thought out and oozes quality. NB My lights aren't very heavy.
It goes without saying ordering from DJKit was hassle free and my order was delivered the next day as usual :-)
