First things first, this isn't a Rane one. Lower your expectations, and you'll have a much better time.
Secondly the belt drive platters work, and work well. For normal turntables you'd avoid belt drives but for these they have enough torque for it not to matter.
The unit is big solid and built well. Plastic but not flimsy, and the pop out feet are a really nice addition adding the extra height that really comes in handy.
The crossfader has a larger cut in that I'd like, but I'm not a turntablist so I can live with it, for basic scratches (stabs, chirps transforms) it does the job well.
Overall a really well thought out, tough, and versatile unit. If you're on the fence I'd say you won't be disappointed considering the price.
