The first thing to say is these lights feel very solid (as they should at the newly introduced price) but it's disappointing that the new ADJ policy which kicked in at the end of May seems to be "wack up the prices (the unit took a £40 price hike just before it actually started shipping) and take the paper manual out the box".
At the time of writing the European site has no information for download on the product page - you have to go to the American site to get it.
ADJ's policy on providing a UK mains lead seems to be different on every product they make. This time around you get a sort of barrel plug adaptor with a tiny Phillips screw-locked cover that has to be opened to plug in the two-pronged lead actually supplied in the box (these adaptors were shipped outside the sealed boxes).
I've been unable to get the light working with the new ADJ UC-RC1 remote control (the manual advises to set REM:ON on the LCD on the light fitting but it's had no effect) and I have yet to discover how to charge the light battery WITHOUT turning it on (the manual talks about using a "Load" switch but has no diagrams to show where such a switch might be and nobody who's looked at the unit can find such a switch. I'm guessing it's probably an LCD setting somewhere but it's confusing as heck).
Too early to tell what the battery life will be like. The ADJ promotional videos before launch all say "6 to 8 hours", the manual says "5 to 7 hours". I'm guessing the manual is the more accurate of the two.
