Works really well with VirtualDJ as well as Traktor DJ. Plug and Play so easy to use.

Useful as an emergency backup or for devices where an external soundcard isn't an option but you still want to send one song to external speakers whilst listening to another via headphones. Feels light and compact but made from rubber to be durable. Simple to use as long as your DJ software can split the audio output so that e.g. all of the main output is routed to the left side and all headphones output is routed to the right side of a single stereo output. At one end is a 3.5mm stereo/TRS mini-jack plug to go into the headphone socket of your laptop etc. The other end has twin 3.5mm stereo/TRS mini-jack sockets. Each are labelled with their intended function i.e. main output or headphones. The cable takes the left and right channels that it receives and splits it so all of the left channel goes to one socket for your main speakers and all of the right channel goes to the other socket for your headphones. Virtual DJ 8 supports this if you choose 'master' output to be 'chan 1 (mono)' and 'headphones' output to be 'chan 2 (mono)'. Alternatives that don't work as well or don't function the same: 1. Typical stereo to twin stereo converters. They duplicate the input across the output without splitting. 2. Cheaper stereo to twin mono sockets. They do split the channels but you get complications so without further adaptors you might only get sound out of one side of your speakers and headphones.

I bought this as an upgrade from my previous splitter cable. I found this to do the same job but just more expensive! still very good quality though!
