Hercules DJ Control Inpulse 500

Best controller in this price range in my opinion, well build. I love the aux feature only one thing i dont like is the performance pads they're feel cheap and their response is just ok overall tho I love my new controller.

The product is great but had an issue with the original device that was shipped. The crew @djkit.com took 24 hours to investigate, fault find and ship replacement device. They even asked if I wanted them the fully test it before shipping. Service was that good I don't mind spending more with them.

Great simple layed out controller which is all you need for most mobile gigs.

Brilliant delivery and affordable price

I got this compact controller to travel with on planes for a specific job I have. It's really solidly made with all the elements you need. Look past the name because you need to remember that Hercules have been in this market for many years. This would be a perfect entry level controller too.

First time trying a hercules controller, I've always used Numark. Absolutely love it, works seamlessly with serato Pro, no complaints at all. Excellent value for money.

Excellent service and piece of kit

For the price this is a great piece of kit, really solid build, perfect for what I was looking for. Works on vdj, serato and djuced. Only concern was although the box looked like it was a new sealed unit when opened it had finger prints all over and was dusty. That said everything works great. Service from both djkit.com and DPD was outstanding

Excellent service from start to finish ordered a bundle in the run up to xmas spoke to djkit.com about what i wanted the items for the messaged back pretty much start away and answered any questions for me i finally ordered the items afew days later they was delivered the items was in 2 separate boxes well packaged i set up the controller and speakers connected my laptop and after 15 mins once the software was downloaded we had sounded the controller is so easy to use u would recommend to anyone that wants to start out or just be a bedroom/mancave dj very happy with the purchase even happier with the bargain price :)

Love this controller it's packed with features I'm using Serato Pro just feels great looks great and performs great. Was going to buy the pioneer DDJ-400 but opted for this so glad I did well worth the money. I also got the Hercules headphones which are also decent can't fault this setup for the money ace.

The item is a great upgrade from my Hercules starlight and feels like a professional mixer . djkit.com were great with every aspect of ordering and gave me a great Black Friday price . If you are looking for a entry level controller this is great for the price.

Brilliant machine wish it came with serato dj pro added expense. The add said next day delivery that never happened it took about a week to come, so if you don't mind waiting go with this company.

Very impressed with this controller. So far seems to be well made and well thought out. I have even rigged a turntable into the aux channel. Would recommend highly for beginner/ Intermediate level. Came with Serato pro too

Amazing DJ controller from Hercules it looks & feels great, it is exactly a controller with a host of features. Comes with DJUCED & Serato lite. I already have Serato pro licence. Easy to use & to set up. Lights are amazing underneath the controller. It has a host of inputs & outputs ideal for me I no longer need a separate mixer the Hercules inpulse 500 a fantastic piece of machine for such an affordable price.

Firstly. Don't let the cost of this controller put you off. Yes it's a budget price but this is definitely not a budget controller. For starters it's larger than most budget devices. Using it gives a more premium feel, don't get me wrong this will not replace a club controller, but a small bar could get away with this. For the bedroom it gives all that you could ask for. The buttons have a nice feel and you get good feedback using them. There is a satisfying "click" at the end of the travel that assures you you've done what you meant to. DJuced is OK as is Serato Lite (it comes with both) but if you can afford it definitely spring for this and Serato Pro. The beginners "this is how you beat match" features are assuring for someone who hasn't mixed before but to be honest were a total distraction to me so they were turned off immediately. If you are looking at starting out DJing (or like me returning to DJ'ing) then you won't go wrong using this as a starter kit. As I said before you wouldn't go wrong using this in a small bar or as a mobile DJ either so this could be the start of something special for you..

Certainly lives up if not betters all the reviews I've seen/read on this new prodcut from Hercules, prior to ordering I was considering the DDJ-400 as a starter controller but opted for the Hercules following the great reviews and the earlier availability and I'm so glad I did. Great bit of kit to get you started and to develop to past the beginner stage.

This is my first real controller and it is amazing. The look the feel and everything else. The service from djkit.com was amazing from the customer support to the online ordering and the deliver was perfect. I just need to learn how to use it now.

Really pleased with this new release from Hercules. Having been on the preorder list for a ddj400 for sometime I switched to this product with the free upgrade to Serato DJ Pro for the preorder. Excellent build quality and highly recommended. Excellent service from start to finish by djkit.com.

Still just having fun with this and it looks like my first outing with it will be my grandaughters 18th Nice bit of kit for not a lot of money and a free upgrade to serato Pro so bigger bonus well happy

This is a really simple review to write. The Hercules Inpulse 500 is simply amazing and such a great controller. Once you have it you can understand why it beats others such as the very popular Pioneer DDJ-400 hands down! Well done Hercules, this controller is super!

I ordered the Impulse 500 after carefully studying the reviews of equipment by more established DJ brands such as Pioneer and Numark. I'm using it with Djuced software and it is brilliant. All the controls are tight, responsive and feel very premium indeed. I also tried it with Serato Pro but my pc doesn't meet the requirements so I cannot leave a fair review of that, but to be honest Djuced is perfect for my needs. Highly recommended!

This arrived last week. I really wasn't sure what to expect from this unit but I needn't of worried. What a great little controller this really is. 1st the pro's. The unit looks stunning. Black metal finish to the top with flush plastic fittings to finish off around the illuminations on the deckplate. The encoders feel really sturdy & like they will last as does everything else. The RGB pads are awesome and with a nice rubber feel to them. Love the loop features & the vinyl, slip & quantise functions for a controller of this price really great to see on this unit. Looping is so simple with the encoder & the in/out buttons. The sampler comes with some great samples straight out the box. The slicer mode works well. Like that you have at least 2 ways to apply loops. Hot cues work well. The assistant works well in DJuced and will select similar tunes to aid you. Yet to try Serato but DJuced works just great. The microphone input with EQ's is superb I love this feature. The fact you have an Aux Input for devices with a 3mm jack socket is awesome, what other unit at this price range does that? Now the bits that I wasn't sure about. The beat match on a 4 x 4 tune works lovely but on anything else it's better to just beat match by ear but then I guess that's what we should be doing anyway? Might confuse a newbie to start off with a bit? You can turn this feature on or off and for me I didn't find it particularly helpful. 2 little gripes I had were the pitch fader and the crossfader could do with slightly more resistance if i'm being picky. The unbalanced outputs mean you have to balance your gains for the level of tune you are playing would of liked those to be balanced really. Would I buy it again? Without hesitation yes definitely. Great controller, great price. It will grow with me as I develop and should last me a good few years I hope. djkit.com were very good as the shipment was held up but when the items I ordered turned up they were quick & well packaged. This piece of kit is amazing! As soon as it arrived I unpacked it and was amazed how well built it is looking mean in my dj area! I mainly sit when mixing so the feet help get the right angle, I put the feet down on the back and front ones tucked in so I get a nice angle. Its so easy to use and for some reason in that two hour mess about it felt effortless. All the buttons feel great the knobs great! I've yet to use it to its full capability but I know its going to be something I'll have for a very long time! Not just any "beginner" controller!!!
