Product Description
The Denon DJ PRIME 4 gets a further update with some amazing new and unique features.
PRIME 4 is the world's most powerful 4-Deck Standalone DJ system featuring a 10-inch multi-touch/gesture display, dual-zone output, pro-mixer section, powerful performance pads, dual mic channels and a 2.5-inch built-in SATA drive bay.
Engine OS 2.0 now includes some major updates:
New look user interface
Built in lighting control for Philips Hue and DMX lighting with SoundSwitch.
Run your DMX lightshow directly from the Prime 4 once you have syncronised with SoundSwitch. You can also sync Philips Hue lights with the Prime 4 with no software or programming required.
New database structure with faster access, searching, analysis etc.
The database in 2.0 has been completely rebuilt to provide accelerated browsing, lightning-fast song analysis, enhanced system stability, and a significantly smaller database size. These new under the hood adjustments offer the user a streamlined experience when managing, browsing, and playing the music they love.
Ableton Link Compatibility
Users can now sync tempo with external hardware using Ableton Link over both wired and wireless networks. Once Ableton Link has been enabled, an orange link icon will be shown in the top right of the toolbar providing the number of linked devices, sync lead tempo, and phase meter showing the current beat position. When synced, the tempo will match the tempo of the longest playing device. The lead tempo can be adjusted from any device and all other linked devices will automatically follow.
Playlist Deck
Users can now assign a deck as a Playlist Player providing continuous playback with automated crossfading. The crossfade time can be adjusted in the Control Center settings menu. Playlist Deck is available for Prime 4, Prime 2, and Prime GO.
Previous Engine updates include:
Adds support for BeatPort Link and SoundCloud GO+ streaming services, improved BPM analysis, recording of the mic channel and ability to adjust the gate settings for each mic input.
The new quick source menu lets you load different sources on to either deck so you can mix between USB and SD, Tidal to Soundcloud, SD to Beatport and more.
Support for Dropbox linking to access tracks in your personal cloud storage from anywhere.
Support for Beatsource LINK streaming service
Track preview: listen to a track without having to load it to a deck.
Reads variable beatgrids prepared in Engine Prime 1.6.Prime 4 is now fully supported by Virtual DJ 2021 with a Pro license. Browse tracks, trigger samples, control stems and stream directly from the software. No setup required yet huge customisation possible with the comprehensive setup options.
Denon Prime 4 also unlocks Serato DJ Pro software when connected.

First ever for standalone DJ systems and media players.
All Engine DJ devices now offer 8 slots to store and trigger samples or songs.
•Remote Library-Access to entire EngineDJ (Desktop) music collection from Engine DJ hardware over Wi-Fi or wired networks without packing a drive.
•Performance Pad Heads-Up Display-
All Engine DJ devices now offer the performance pad heads up display. This allows the user to easily see Hot Cue and Loop names, loaded Samples, and Loop and Roll time divisions.

The worlds 1 Controller by far
As a professional Mix DJ for quite some time I can definitely recommend purchasing this Prime 4 controller over and above any other brand out there. Jogwheels are more precise and less clunky. Denon have now become the 1 leading industry standard and are taking over appearing in nightclub and festival installations worldwide. Seamless integration with rekordbox and serato. Great piece of kit. If you want something which will be futureproof with free firmware upgrades boasting new features then this is the controller to get. Handy line and phono inputs for external kit and also where you will even soon be able to plug your DVS vinyl straight into the unit to directly read timecode no laptop needed and play music from the unit itself This is just one of the feature requests for future firmware.

Denon has absolutely knocked it out of the park with this unit If they can improve their engine softwares BPM detection algorithm for laptop preparation then this unit will be flawlessrnAmazing build quality Lovely sound quality with great sounding eqs and effects and the performance pads feel great to use The single most impressive piece of tech Ive used since I finally gave into the hype and bought an iPhone 4S years ago Buy this before the price goes up

Hi can I play this controller straight into the denon monitors included in your deal with out the need for an amp? And how does the controller behave with serato on windows 10, I have a dell PC, don't get on with macbooks, so just wanna check it is compatible, hope you can answer my questions as I am really keen on this product, many thanks
Hey! I can answer part of your question at least...
The Denon monitor speakers have built in amps, so they connect directly into the Prime 4 and are good to go. They sound fantastic too! I got the cables included, so no worries there either.
Serato, I don’t use, so sorry, can’t help with that one.
