American DJ myDMX Buddy is a scaled down, entry level version of myDMX 2.0. Out of the package, myDMX software will run in limited mode: 3D visualizer, Easy Remote, Midi features or Stand-Alone Mode (the stand-Alone/Scene button of MyDMX Buddy) and other features like 512 DMX channel control via MyDMX Buddy can be purchased as upgrades at www.dmxsoft.com. The dongle plugs directly into a 3-pin DMX input on your lighting fixture. The dongle connects with a computer via a USB connection.

Brought this as I'm a beginner in the dmx world but what can I say, it's amazing!!! I have 6 scanners 2 moving heads and 2 pars all setup and a very cool looking light show.. Loads of youtube videos if you get stuck.

Out of the package : - SUSHI-DS and SUSHI-RB/RJ controllers do not include any Mac software. - myDMX BUDDY controller includes a limited Mac version of myDMX 2.0 software. (No 3D visualizer, Easy Remote or Midi features) Mac software versions will be available to purchase here in early 2015. These will include yearly and monthly software and support subscription packages. (*)

Extremely powerful and the best version for mobile DJs. I run 6 DMX lights on my rig and I currently use no more than 57 channels. In the full channel modes on my lights I only take up 80 dmx channels so the 256 that this offers is more than adequate at the moment for myself. This together with the My DMX2.0 software is incredible powerful and easy to use. As an ex DMX programmer for a theatre company I could effectively use this software to control and entire gig if I wanted to.
