Amazing 3-in-1 fixture

I purchased an original Stinger when they first came out in 2015 and was impressed with it's performance and value for money. The moonflower effect has very respectable colour output and floor coverage and works well without smoke/haze, but totally transforms and comes alive with some atmosphere in the room. The laser patterns are low powered and if mounted sufficiently high, can be used across a room, producing some nice patterns across a wide area. I've found they are particularly popular with youngsters at school and roller discos. The one effect I was not a fan of with the original Stinger was the white LED strobes. They tended to be rather bright and somewhat overpowering unless used in a large room. The Stinger II replaces the white LEDs with UV and the overall effect is much more usable. They perform well in small and larger rooms and with a DMX controller (or just master/slave) produce a polished light show. Overall, this one unit is excellent value for money and considerably cheaper than buying the three effects individually. I'm sure my new Stinger II's will be seeing much more active use than my original Stinger thanks to the UV which has already proved popular with some of my younger clients.

Clever device, fiddly app but there is another option...

I've owned one of these Airstream Bridges for over a year now and initially, I struggled to get on with it. I totally get DMX but the app just didn't seem to suit my style of DMX programming. I also like to mix things up on the fly and as much as I tried, I just couldn't get on with the app. Therefore the Airstream Bridge started to gather dust in my collection of unused DJ gear, until... ..along came Light Rider. This is a fabulous intuitive app that works brilliantly with moving heads and par cans and furthermore it can connect to any ART-NET device. The Airstream Bridge fully supports ART-NET so I gave it a whirl. It's fabulous! This is the perfect combination for me. Light Rider is currently free for iOS and Android tablets and I would willingly pay for it anyway. My Airstream Bridge now has a new lease of life and I get to control my moving heads and pars from my iPad with just the level of on-the-fly tinkering I like, to keep my light shows fresh and relevant for the genre I'm playing. Love this combo so the Airstream Bridge now gets a 100% recommendation from me.

Great fixture for the money

Given that these are a little over 300 each, they punch well above their weight. I was looking for a pair of mid-range moving heads for small-medium venues that had focus,, rotating gobos and prism and these ticked the boxes. I tried them out in the DJ Kit showroom and bought a pair there and then. They are plenty bright enough for all the venues I work in. The manual focus works well and the 3-facet prism is nice. I purchased some additional gobos to better suit my needs and they are now perfect for what I need. They have a lovely rubberised sturdy feel to them and an easy to use menu system. I control them via DMX to get the best out of them. The only downsides for me are no IEC out for linking and a slightly fiddly gobo replacement process but nothing I couldn't sort out - and not something I'll need to change often. Overall, 100% recommended.

Works with the Fog Fury Faze

I took a risk and purchased this from DJ Kit to try with my Fog Fury Faze and it works perfectly Its not listed anywhere as compatible but this is a cheap solution to add DMX control to your Fog Fury Faze Very impressed with the DMX features allowing you to set the burst length and time interval from your favourite DMX controller

Looks great with quality material and internals

Love this starcloth. I DMX mine into my setup so it's part of my overall wash lighting colour and it looks lovely. The quad LEDs are nice and bright when needed but you can achieve some softer warmer whites with them if you need to. It's a little bulky if I'm honest and takes a while to get it onto your booth and looking smooth. It's also quite heavy as the cloth is good quality and the internal cabling is rather hefty. It can be left on your Mk2 booth if you're careful. I would not leave it on a Mk1 as the shelves will almost certainly damage the LEDs in the bag. The Mk2 booth has the shelves cleverly stowed inside the booth when folded so present no risk to the LEDs during transit. The best thing about the whole starcloth is what you can't see. Internally, this has a series of wired sections and connectors, all of which are easily replaceable with no wiring or soldering. The booth even comes with some spare cable sections should any LEDs fail. I've not needed to change any yet but I can see that it will be a doddle to replace. Overall, recommended.

Lovely booth, but not exactly lightweight

I previously used a Gorilla DBS Pro aluminium booth with the carpeted wooden shelves and it served me well. The frame was lightweight but the shelves were heavy and the whole thing just didn't pack nicely into the bag, especially if you wanted to leave your LED starcloth fitted. I purchased my Equinox Mk2 booth from DJ Kit in store after seeing exactly how well it was made and how it was set up and packed away. It's actually much quicker to set up and it packs away far more neatly in its bag than the previous model. I've read reviews talking about issues with gaps in panels but mine has no such problems. The two shelf halves do have a small gap in between but I sense it was designed to be that way. I'm also pleased to be able to leave my Quad LED Starcloth fitted and with careful folding of the booth when packing away, there's almost no risk to the LEDs as the shelves are safely tucked inside. It's actually a very nice design and the bag is more rugged too. My only gripe is the weight - it's quite heavy. The frame may be lightweight but the shelves are seriously heavy (I think they are steel), so overall it does seem heavier than the Mk1 but the ventilation provided by the mesh shelves and the neat storage and folding system makes it an overall winner for me.

No-brainer for use with my Gravity Stands

These are an absolute no-brainer for use with my Gravity Lighting Stands. They do the job perfectly - cables are tidy and the clips are strong and seem to be lasting well. Exactly what I expect and need.

Stylish and practical

I purchased a pair of these with my Gravity Lighting Stands and I'm glad I did. The bases are seriously heavy unwieldy things and these protect them as well as make them a lot easier to carry! They are very well made bags with sturdy handles and zips and look fab with the trademark hints of Gravity Lime Green. Very pleased I purchased them now as having to carry the bases unprotected would almost certainly involve some pain to either my ankles or my vehicle when transporting them around. 100% recommended.

Fabulous if you hate tripods

I cannot stand tripods and yet needed something to mount lighting fixtures like my ADJ Warlocks up high. When I saw these, I knew they were the answer and now having purchased a pair, I'm sold. They may not be cheap but they are top quality and sold as a rock. The bases are heavy - buy the bags to help you transport them safely! The bases also have small feet and two holes so IEC cables can go under the base, up through a hole right behind the upright pole to your lighting fixtures on top (and buy the Gravity Cable Clips too - they're perfect for keeping cabling tidy). The uprights extend to something like 2.4m which is plenty high enough for my Warlocks. Overall, they look stunning in that you can barely see them - just how I like my lighting stands. 100% recommended.

Perfect for all occasions

I purchased a pair of these a year ago and they are fabulous. Two things stopped me from taking them out more often and that is the need for flight cases and suitable stands as they are fairly heavy beasts. Having now purchased both flight cases and decent stands for them, they are getting more outings in my rigs. The output is stunning and when controlled via DMX you can achieve everything from slow moving sweeps to fast-paced chases. They are super-bright and have a nice selection of gobos for all occasions. I now transport them in Swanflight cases (absolutely perfect and 100% recommended) and mount them on the new super-cool Gravity Square-based stands which are perfect for the job, clean-looking and solid as as rock. 100% recommended.
