Perfect For a Mobile DJ

I purchased this fixture based on my observations at a gig that I was assisting at. The Gigbar is great if you don't have much time to set up and need a quick all-in-one product for your lighting. They are also a great solution if you don't have much space to set up in, providing a number of effects in a small foot-print. I really can't fault this product, there are a number of programme options available allowing you to pick and choose which effects you want to use, from everything to a single effect. The addition of UV to the V2.0 is nice, giving that little extra effect available. Probably suitable for smaller to medium size venues. The remote control is great meaning less cabling and again, time saved. The bag supplied is a very snug fit for the gigbar meaning you can transport the fixture safely. Another benefit is the stand that is supplied. This extends to approximately 2.5m high and gets your fixture up in the air allow you to light down on to the dancefloor. I really can't find fault with this fixture. Small, versatile and time saving - what more could a mobile DJ ask for. Recommended.

Plenty Of Features and Easy To Set Up

I generally like to rely on wired connections - I guess I'm a bit old school, but I needed something more mobile for presentation evenings so thought I'd give the QWM 1960HH UHF a try. This kit is based on the old KAM system which was one of the better KAM products and this system keeps up the good standards. From first switch on the Mics paired up with the base station with no fuss whatsoever. There are a number of channels that you can chose to use for each separate Mic, reducing the chance of channel occupation by any other systems in use in the venue. Each Mic has a gain control on the base station allowing you to control the output signal to your mixer system. The display on the base unit is very good, giving clear indications for Mic signal presence and channel in use etc, it's well lit and easy to read. The gain from these Mics is very good, users can hold the mic away from the mouth and the voice signal is still picked up reasonably well, gain control allows you to compensate as necessary. The only negative thing that I can find with this system is the plastic case of the base station. A metal case would have been nice at this price, but it doesn't detract from the operation of the system which is fault less. I've tested these Mics up to 40 meters distance with no drop outs. If you only need one Mic the second Mic stands by as a back-up. Great that Q Audio have picked up and developed this product. Gets 5 stars from me. Recommended.

A Great Laser Show In One Box

The title sums up my thoughts on this product A great laser show in a single fixture What youre purchasing is effectively 4 separate lasers all connected together to give a combined coordinated show As an RGB laser virtually all colours can be produced and this is used to good effect in the built in show There are a considerable number of patterns that are used all are bright and good to watch There is an Auto mode where the unit simply runs through the preprogrammed show Sound Active and DMX control I have used in sound active mode for a full evening and must say that the control over sound sensitivity is excellent adjusted by a knob on the rear of the fixture with an LED indicator to show when sound is detected I have to say that I prefer this over the digital adjustment commonly found on many lighting fixtures now the EL900 effectively has analogue sound active control which is much more usable DIP Switches are a bit old school but do the job so no real complaints there This laser has a wide throw and could be used in larger venues to good effect With suitable laser control software or DMX control I would imagine that you could get the full potential out of this fixture but as a mobile DJ with normally a very short set up time available I have found that Sound Active mode is more than acceptable Build quality appears to be up to usual high standard that Laserworld produce and the fixture has a good robust feel to it In conclusion this is an excellent product that will not disappoint Lasers are bright built in shows are fully acceptable and the unit will cover a large area Add some smoke or haze for the full effect Gets 5 stars from me highly recommended Thanks DJKitcom

Value For Money Fixtures

These fixtures offer two benefits, Colour Wash and movement, thus reducing the need for separate fixtures. There are four built in programmes all offering differing levels of movement. The colours produced are vivid and bright and a pair will be more than adequate for a medium sized venue. The units can be mastered / slaved and also offer Slave2 mode which gives opposing movement. These units are solidly and appear to be well built. Not in the same league as similar American DJ products, but not in the same price range either. I am very happy with these fixtures for both what they do and the great price. Perhaps not fixture that you would use all of the time but a very useful addition to your lighting arsenal. Good product, good price, recommended.

A Good All Rounder.

I bought a pair of the ADJ Stingers for my rig, the aim being to reduce the amount of kit being carried and hence set-up and breakdown time. These fixtures incorporate 3 separate effects into the one unit - a Moonflower - a Cluster Laser - and Strobe. The unit produces a great moonflower effect with an unusual Pink LED included. The spread of the moonflower is quite wide, 2 together will cover a medium size venue from floor to ceiling with ease. The beams produced are bright and look great, a bit of smoke or haze finishes the effect nicely, but this isn't necessary if you are just looking for a room filling effect. The lasers are red / green cluster type and scroll through the usual types of pattern that you will see from small cluster lasers. They look good, particularly when the are operating in conjunction with the moonflower, giving that little extra zing to the effect. The strobe on this light is bright, particularly when you consider that it is only produced from eight 3watt LEDs. The effect is not as bright as a dedicated strobe fixture would be, but it is still quite impressive, particularly when using a pair of Stingers - perfectly acceptable. One great feature of this lighting unit is that the show modes (there are seven of them) allow you to select which effects you want to run. As DJs we are cautious to the use of lasers and strobes, these effects can be switched off by selecting from the available modes, the instruction manual lists the various configurations available. The units have the usual sound active on / off and master / slave operation available. Operation of the various modes available is via the now "usual" four unit LED display on the rear of the fixture. The unit is sturdy, not too heavy and you can fit a pair in an AccuCase AC-160 bag. All in all I am pleased with the Stinger, it reduces the kit you need to carry to provide a multiple effect light show and reduces set-up and breakdown time, looks great in operation and covers a wide area. The usual great service from DJKit - thank you guys. Recommended by meal, gets 5 stars.

Sensible Protection for your cabinets

I originally ordered a set of slip covers, but those were out of stock and the guys at DJKit contacted me recommending these speaker bags instead. Made from a canvas style material these slips will protect your cabinets from being scratched, there is some padding, but this is minimal and as such won't protect whats inside from major impacts, but hopefully that won't happen too often anyway. The covers have opening flaps in all the vital places, sides for carrying handles, rear for Amp control and on the bottom for speaker poles, all secured by velcro. So effectively you could run your speakers with these covers in place if necessary. I'm not sure if these covers are water proof, so if your using them outside you may have a problem, but for protection from rain during loading these covers are great. Can't fault these covers, a good deal from DJKit seals the deal. Gets 5 stars from me.

Versatile & Good Value

These lights are a basic requirement for any Mobile DJ or Band. Great to use for colour wash and general lighting. The Par Cans themselves are fairly light (in weight) with dip switches on the rear for operational control. The units produce an incredible amount of light and can be DMX controlled, master / slave connected (via DMX cable) and have Sound to Light facility. The Sound to Light operation is good, with a considerable number of colours shown in the process. One criticism of the light is the relatively short power cable which is only 75cm long, a UK 3 pin plug on the end, so you will need to consider power supply / management. An IEC in / out connection would have been a nice touch, but would undoubtedly push the price up. It's useful to have DMX cables included, these are of a reasonable quality and do the job required. Personally I would have liked a better quality than those supplied in the pack, but as mentioned above, they do the job. The stand and T-Bar in the pack is very good, with a quick release spigot attaching the T-Bar to the Stand. The stand is supplied with locking pins (a good safety feature) and is in 3 telescopic sections, extending easily to a maximum height of 2.7m (9ft) above floor level. This allows you to light downwards on to the dance floor / stage, instead of sideways (which can be a bit "in your face"). The Cans can of course be used separate from the stand for up-lighting and are very versatile, DMX connections can make for some very good light shows. All in all I was pleased with the pack, having had the first delivered I ordered another. At this price it is a considerable saving over buying the separate components (Cans are currently 33 each). Loses one star due to the power connection and cable length. Good price and excellent service from DJKit seals the deal!

180 Degree Wash Cover

If you are washing a ceiling you'll only need a pair of these and nothing else! The design of the the units allows 180 degrees of wash cover, and as has been mentioned in other reviews, these units are very bright. I use with DMX control and actually find it beneficial to dim them down a bit. I also find myself keeping these aimed upwards on an overhead bar to avoid blinding the audience! These lights are smaller than I had anticipated they were going to be, so if you're mounting on an overhead bar they won't take up too much room. There are a lot of control options available and a quick read through of the manual will guide you through these. These units are nice as "eye-candy" too with some great built in chase and colour patterns that can be run in Sound-to-light mode, the UV is a nice addition allowing for better colour mixing and some great Hot Pinks and Blue hues, and of course the RGB also allows for normal selection from thousands of possible shades. The fans are a little noisy but you won't notice this once the volume is up a bit. Altogether a very good product which is up to normal good quality expected from Chauvet. Two of these units will fit in an Accu-case AC-130 bag. Space saving, bright with lots of control options and will cover a huge area - what's not to like! Gets 5 stars from me - highly recommended - buy a pair and you'll be able to wash the whole dance floor and ceiling.

Good Control

I bought this unit to replace my Fog Fury Faze which died. I have to say that this unit is superior to the Fog Fury, simply due to the level of control you have over the smoke output. Be under no illusion, this IS a smoke machine, but the controls on the unit allow a very fine control of output, from 1% to 100% smoke (a little to a lot) and this combined with the timing options for interval between smoke output and duration of smoke production means that you can tailor output to just enough. The unit does clean pipes too, which hopefully will prolong the life of the heater element - there are specific instructions in the manual around this. The flap at the front allows you some control over the direction of output from directly ahead to almost 90 degrees up in the air which is useful and the unit can also be mounted overhead using the bracket, although I always use smoke machines at ground level from a safety point of view. The unit functions very well and adjusting controls will allow you to refine for every venue. There is one weak point and that is the fluid / pipe connector on the front of the fluid reservoir. This is exposed and highly vulnerable to to catching something in transit and breaking off - you have been warned. Obviously with care in transport and use you should be fine. I can't find a suitable flight case at a sensible price for this unit to help with protection in transit, similarly I wouldn't want to transport in a soft bag due to the risk of the reservoir connector getting broken! One other issue that surprised me was the captive power supply and no IEC connection, this somewhat limits positioning, but if you remove the plug and fit a male IEC on the end that should suffice - but will probably invalidate the guarantee! I am happy with this purchase, the control over output is very good, but the product loses one star due to the exposed delicate reservoir connection and the captive power supply. Apart from that it's a great unit.

Game Changer!

If you're dipping your toe into the world of DMX light control this isn't a bad place to start. I've been using this unit for 3 months now and it offers simple set up and control over your light show, bringing even the smallest and simple of light set ups to the next level. As with all things, you need to read the instructions and set up information, but once you've done that this system and the associated App is simple and intuitive to use. In simple terms you tell the system what lights you are using, download a DMX profile onto your Tablet / App and away you go. Very easy and there are some great videos available on Youtube if you need any help - MyDMXGo system is exactly the same App as Lightrider - check out the videos before you buy to see how straight forward this system is to use. The system has some built in shows which are OK, but you can build your own presets too and save them - great if you have regular venues that you gig at or if your light setup doesn't change that much. Support is great and there are some very helpful user groups across social media platforms. Users do report some WiFi dropout issues, but I have to say I've not experienced this when using with an IPad. Spend some time to understand how this little system works and you can create some great lighting effects. A small unit that is quick to set up at your gig - essential for mobile DJs - which will improve your light show 100% if you've only ever used Sound-to-light in the past. Gets 5 stars from me - highly recommended - spend some time familiarising yourself with the operation of the App and you won't be disappointed.
