The X1800 is a great mixer. Familiar to any user coming over from the competitors units but filled with extras that enhance the experience and ease of use. Especially when used in line with the sc5000 or sc5000M. However as mentioned in my SC5000 review, Denon are letting themselves down with the build quality of their units. Since changing my rider less than 2 months ago i have had a replacement X1800 and 3 replacement SC5000s. Denons customer service has been brilliant but that amount of unreliability is no good in the DJ booth

I bought the swarm as a centre piece to my rig and I couldnt be happier with it. It has many programmes built in so you can choose exactly what part of the effects you wish to use brilliant for mobile work where multiple effects for different events are needed.

There is no denying that the SC5000 is a fantastic player in regards to its capabilities and ease of operation. Denon have managed to build in a host of great features that allow the DJ to expand their mix potential without the premium cost of their direct competitor. That being said, Denon are seriously letting themselves down with the build quality of the prime series. Since changing my rider less than 2 months ago, i have had an X1800 mixer replaced as well as 3 SC5000s. Denons customer service team is second to none and have bent over backwards in order to assist but a working DJ who needs their kit to be 100% for their gig cannot afford this amount of unreliability . A great player but only when its working correctly

This is a swan flightcase. Solid construction and a snug fit for the RX2. Also has a good handle on the front for transport and 4 rubber feet on the bottom.

I had the mk1 unit but decided to upgrade for the extra functionality and im very happy with the unit. I use the unit either standalone with memory sticks or linked to rekordbox in export mode. Overall i find the unit more stable to use, better built in many areas such as the jog wheels and navigation dials. The pads are one of the biggest improvements. Very responsive with colour coding making it easy to navigate between cues in a live situation. The touch screen is very usefull with a search function as found on the CDJs however i feel that it could have had more functionality but this is just a minor niggle
