I ordered this as I needed something that wasn’t going to take up room, easy to carry and store but with enough functionality that it delivers all of the benefits of a full set up.

I've only been DJing for a little while and have previously solely used my iPad. This is not ideal as you can't (reliably) pre-cue and you're a little limited with space on the screen etc. I came across this unit and it looked perfect for me, so I took the plunge. I played my first proper gig with it on Saturday at a wedding where the couple had requested a lot of EDM and it was an absolute dream. The integration with the iPad is seamless. I use DJay 2 which has a hookup to Spotify (you need to be connected to the internet - you cannot use downloaded tracks due to some licensing clause) and this was fantastic when songs I didn't already have were being requested. The loop function / FX / Filters etc were all spot on. The unit has a great pre-amp too, so it has plenty of juice in the tank! I was only cranked up to half way all night - Bearing this in mind, the unit is so very portable. You could easily light up a house party with a very basic speaker/hi-fi setup with absolutely no problem! I'm starting to learn to scratch too... Very basic at the moment, but the small jog wheels are responsive, but have enough friction to make you feel like you're in control. Great fun, and an amazing price for an amazingly simple and portable setup.
