Pioneer DJ DDJ-REV5

The Pioneer DJ DDJ-REV5 is a great DJ controller for both Serato DJ Pro and Rekodbox offering the increasingly popular battle style layout.

Combining the typical layout of two turntables in the vertical position ad a 2 channel scratch mixer with the ergonomics of a Pioneer DJ CDJ setup, the DDJ-REV5 is the perfect balance of digital DJ'ing for the analogue DJ. It even offers layered 4 deck control, something not normally found in a controller like this. 

Large Jog Wheels

Pioneer DJ have been famed for their high quality jog wheels in both feel and build. The REV5 does not dissappoint. The 6.6inch pressure sensitve wheels have the traditional CDJ style finger indents on the outer part and pressure sensitive top plate featuring vinyl style grooves.

In the center of the wheel is a basic display showing live needle postion as well as the active deck. 

Each jog wheel can be adjusted for feel, letting you have a loose setting for long back spins or a stiffer setting for tighter tweaking. 

Deck layout

Taking hints from the bigger DDJ-REV7, the DDJ-REV5 has an almost identical layout. This time there are 4 dedicated pads for STEMS or Track Separation which can also be switched to hot cues or scratch pads. 

Surrounding these are the typical controls for looping, slip, censor and key controls. The tempo slider is in a horizontal position at the very top of the controller as well as the browse and load controls for each deck. 

Auto BPM Transition

Choose a number of bars for the transition and, when you press the dedicated button, the track that's playing, will gradually change tempo to match the track loaded to the other deck so you can mix or drop in the new track at the perfect moment.

Battle style mixer

With a strickingly similar design mixer section to the REV7, the DDJ-REV5 will appeal to both scratch and open format DJ's alike. 

The crossfader is a 3rd generation Magvel fader offering curve adjust and buttery smooth operation. 

2 banks of 8 RGB performance pads with multiple modes sit above the faders. 

The now popular paddle FX triggers let you activate software FX easily either with a temporary hold or latched. 

DDJ-REV5 has simple and clean cut connectivity with dual USB-C interfaces for back to back DJ'ing as well as USB-C power connection. 

Master outputs are on both XLR and RCA with booth output via balanced TRS. 

There are two mic inputs and AUX input on the rear with controls on the front.
