Really happy with this product. Functionality wise it takes a little bit of getting used to after using Pioneer but myself and friends (who are all Pioneer users) are impressed with the feel and build quality of the deck. It only took me a few hours of use to get to grips with it. The jog wheel is really sturdy and in our opinion feels nice than that of a CDJ 2000. The touch screen is a nice size and really responsive. The pads along the bottom feel nice & again are responsive without having to press too hard. It's also good that you can change their function. The only thing that feels a little cheap compared to Pioneer are the Cue & Play buttons. Another downside is that when moving the jog wheel whilst a tune is playing it seems to be more noticeable than on Pioneer equipment. The fact that alot of the settings are customisable and firmware is regularly upgraded makes it very appealing. For example you can change the increments in which the pitch slider increases by from as little as 0.01 up to 0.1.

There is no denying that the SC5000 is a fantastic player in regards to its capabilities and ease of operation. Denon have managed to build in a host of great features that allow the DJ to expand their mix potential without the premium cost of their direct competitor. That being said, Denon are seriously letting themselves down with the build quality of the prime series. Since changing my rider less than 2 months ago, i have had an X1800 mixer replaced as well as 3 SC5000s. Denons customer service team is second to none and have bent over backwards in order to assist but a working DJ who needs their kit to be 100% for their gig cannot afford this amount of unreliability . A great player but only when its working correctly

swapped out my pioneer , can't beat this for value, excellent build quality and easy to use ideal with 2 of these makes mobile DJing have full 4 deck control with PRO gear and minimal space I've been waiting for this for a long time and a big bonus I don't need an expensive laptop to use ! For just over 4K the same on another industry standard setup will set you back 10k.

I have been using these mixers for over 4 years now and can honestly say I have never had any problems with them. The units are simple to set up and control with 3 input channels plus mic. The inputs are set up as phono / line for Ch1 & Ch3 and Line A / Line B for channel 2, meaning that you can have up to 4 input sources connected at any one time. Connections for input and output are via phono plugs whilst Mic input is via 6.3mm jack plug. The only criticism that I have of these units is the limited amount of LEDs on the monitor section. A few more LEDs would allow finer control over input and output levels, but you cant really argue about this when you look at the price! These are great little mixers - easy to use and set up, good input options, sound great, good price point, reliable (after 4 years of use) - what more could you ask for. Recommended as a entry level mixer. Gets 5 stars from me.

This was my first newly bought stand-alone mixer and I'd recommend it as an entry-level product. It's solidly built, looks nice and most of the faders & knobs are nice to use. It sounds good too. A few problems with this though. One being that a couple of the EQ knobs are a good bit stiffer than the rest; as it's the bass knob on one channel and the mid on another this is pretty arbitrary and so is obviously a fault in assembly. The crossfader is also a little bit too sticky to do anything nimble with it, if I were into scratching this would probably bother me. The main thing I don't like is the mixer's Cue-Master fader. The output in the headphones is way louder when the knob is turned to master than when to the cue. I don't know whether this is intentional or just poor calibration but it makes it difficult to get a good picture of what's going on through your headphones. Not knowing where to set the knob for a 50/50 split means you don't know where to set it if you want to know what the mix will sound like when you push the fader of the cued channel up to max.
Great product, easy to set up, easy to use which is a bonus as buying/using Dj equipment is new to me. Arrived next day as promised. The staff member I spoke to was very helpful & I would recommend this company/website to everyone.
