Pioneer DJ PLX-500 W Turntable (White) reviews
Do you own the Pioneer DJ PLX-500 W Turntable (White)? Why not write a review based on your experience with it.
This turntable is well built and plays all my Vinyl records all the way through unlike the cheaper make Turntable that I had bought before, all I need now is a set of speakers although I can hear the record on the PC it would be nice to hear it from the turntable too..
I really do love this turntable it is just like the ones I used to have before so I really do not have any regrets buying it..
Ordered this for my daughters birthday as she is a vinyl fanatic. She isn't DJ'ing yet but needed something decent to play records on. This ticks all the boxes because if she does decide to get into mixing vinyl or using DVS I can get another one which will give her a great starting point. Fab service from djkit.com as well, extremely prompt delivery. Thanks guys!
I sold my mk5 technics some time ago but still own some vinyl I bought this knowing it would have Pioneers build quality they truly have not let vinyl lovers down With this in mind I would have happily spent the extra money on the PLX 1000 I predict it would be as good as Technics
Does the job. I have 2x 1210 mk2 which I've had for many years and this is nowhere near the quality - hence price difference. Does the job as a 3rd deck for me though and looks great in white!
Great service from DJ Kit as usual - good price quick delivery
Not quite a 1210 but a good turntable.id say its slightly overpriced at 300 pounds 250 would be more suitable.the casing is a plastic material but good quality not cheap plastic sturdy decks good for a home dj setup id say they are semi professional.
Wow .... after 30 + years our old JVC stereo system died and went to music heaven... gutted to say the least ... Was recommended the Pioneer PLX-500 and speaker ... Wow ! what a sound ... amazing ! ... so good we now going to get another speaker !
Excellent if you are looking for a 1210 without the price tag!
Fantastic turntable - looks and feels exactly like a Technics 1210 which is exactly what I was hoping for. DJkit were excellent in helping me set up payment and also in updating me with delivery date. it arrived exactly as confirmed by secure courier.
This unit was brand new and not working. The DJKit support was very nice and helpful and they swap it out the next working day. Will write a detailed review about that unit.
This can happen to anyone and it's a bad experience but it's not DJKit's fault, they reacted ver well and quick.
I have been using these mixers for over 4 years now and can honestly say I have never had any problems with them. The units are simple to set up and control with 3 input channels plus mic. The inputs are set up as phono / line for Ch1 & Ch3 and Line A / Line B for channel 2, meaning that you can have up to 4 input sources connected at any one time. Connections for input and output are via phono plugs whilst Mic input is via 6.3mm jack plug. The only criticism that I have of these units is the limited amount of LEDs on the monitor section. A few more LEDs would allow finer control over input and output levels, but you cant really argue about this when you look at the price! These are great little mixers - easy to use and set up, good input options, sound great, good price point, reliable (after 4 years of use) - what more could you ask for. Recommended as a entry level mixer. Gets 5 stars from me.
This was my first newly bought stand-alone mixer and I'd recommend it as an entry-level product. It's solidly built, looks nice and most of the faders & knobs are nice to use. It sounds good too.
A few problems with this though. One being that a couple of the EQ knobs are a good bit stiffer than the rest; as it's the bass knob on one channel and the mid on another this is pretty arbitrary and so is obviously a fault in assembly. The crossfader is also a little bit too sticky to do anything nimble with it, if I were into scratching this would probably bother me.
The main thing I don't like is the mixer's Cue-Master fader. The output in the headphones is way louder when the knob is turned to master than when to the cue. I don't know whether this is intentional or just poor calibration but it makes it difficult to get a good picture of what's going on through your headphones. Not knowing where to set the knob for a 50/50 split means you don't know where to set it if you want to know what the mix will sound like when you push the fader of the cued channel up to max.
Great product, easy to set up, easy to use which is a bonus as buying/using Dj equipment is new to me. Arrived next day as promised. The staff member I spoke to was very helpful & I would recommend this company/website to everyone.
