Wharfdale Delta Active 15BA Subs - Great sound when its working. This is the best sounding & most unreliable subwoofer I have ever had the misfortune to own. Yes they sound great when tbey are wotking. I have owned mine for 2 1/2 years during which they have failed at 8 out of the 12 gigs I have used them. Spent about 3 months in my posession of the 2 1/2 years and the rest of the time with the Australian importer waiting for warranty repair after repair. The powersupply has blown at least 4 times & they are prone to overheating & random shutdown from which they will not recover for about an hour or so even when run at low volumes. On the upside, when they are working, for bass sound quality & punch, they eat the Behringer Eurolive 1000 watt RMS 15" Subs I bought the Wharfedales to replace, but then the Behringer Subs have been reliably filling in for the Wharfedales over hundreds of gigs, for the rest of the 2 1/2 years while the Delta Active subs have been out of service having failed gig after gig, while the Behringers never miss a beat. Wharfedale really stuffed up on this product & obviously didn't road test them adequately before releasing them.
