Great price and product works well even though saying that I work with artists and last week or caberait set up his gear I was then started to call the bingo and the Windows rattled so I turned off my gear and the mic was still working despite no volume switched I thought bloody hell im in a haunted venue but no turned out my Kam system is on the same freq as his amp/mixer still good for a laugh
I needed a few hand help mics for an event. I normally use a Shure wireless headset mic. In comparison I found that the KAM kept getting waves of white noise like interference and wold regularly drop out. In the end it got so bad I changed to ShureSM58s and cable.
don't make the same mistake I did and order two pairs of mic's thinking you could use them all at once, you cant, they use the same frequency and picked up by a single receiver causing distortion.
The good points.... price won't break the bank, sound quality is clear and loud, comes with a hard case. The bad.... Not the best built. I used the mics twice before the receiver stopped picking 1 of the mics up at all, effectively making it a single mic unit. Currently awaiting a reply from the DJKit returns department about replacing the mic, hopefully the replacement will last longer.
Bought these for use doing Karaoke. I already have a pair that I have used for the last few years, they get dropped, mistreated etc by over enthusiastic (drunk!) singers but still work perfectly and give a crisp vocal sound, so when considering another setup wanted these again.
Good mics, I have an Audio-Technica. Just below the £200 mark. I purchased these to give to drunken idiots when trying to sing karaoke, mind you even if they drop these I may have to have words or insert them fully into one of their orrifices, anyway as I was saying the sound is almost on par for both highs lows & mids, if you need to plug two of these into a single balanced mic TRS like me as I have my mic in channel one on the Denon MC 6000 Mk2 Which is XLR, but wait what if some punters wanna duo, no your not having my mic, get your self an Art Split Com Pro this allows you to connect two mics to one input, oh & one more thing this doesn't take AA batteries that was th old model this one is 9v, great service as usual, thanks Shane.
I was on the look out for some radio microphones to use during children’s parties. Due to the nature of their use I did not want to get really expensive ones however still needed them to work well and sound good. I looked on DJ Kit and saw the KAM KWM11 for a very reasonable price so thought I would give them a try. Delivery and the service from DJ Kit was excellent and the microphones have not disappointed either. Although the plastic handle feels a little cheap, set up was easy and the sound is easily as good as the wired mics I've been using for some time. There has been no discernible drop outs or feedback issues so far. Definitely worth the money.
Speedy delivery from DJKit which was really appreciated. The mics feel a little light in the hand but at this price i wasn't expecting the sturdiest piece of kit I've ever had. The reception on the mics was great in my first venue, the kit integrated into my setup easily, and I'm looking forward to using them again.
I've had several VHF radio mikes much more expensive than this KAM KWM11 the box its housed in looked flimsy and I though I'd bought a pup, rigged it up and I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with this low cost dual radion mike setup. Great product for the cost. Works better than some of the more expensive one I'd bought previously. So thanks again KAM for coming up triumphs. Nice one
These sound great for the price. Just fine for karaoke use or running around at kids parties with. Great that you have two separate XLR outputs for each mic as well as the combined jack output. They do suffer a little from occasional signal dropouts if you're moving around although the range is quite good. Be careful with the aerials when pushing them back down, they can bend and break rather easily as I found out the very first time I used it oops. You get a lot of bang for your buck with these though, superb value.
Sound quality for a cheap system was excellent. Not in the Shure SM58 area but more than acceptable for voice or music or Karaoke. I used for a presentation into a PA system - more than enough volume into the Mixer and very clear. The battery mountings have been changed (more sturdy) to PP3's instead of 2 x AA's (unreliable and difficult to change) in the more expensive versions. They appear to be much more resilient than the more expensive KAM radio mics. and survived the inevitable unintentional "drop" test. Will try them live with the Band next - that will test their durability, and possibly the Band's patience !
For the price, you can't really beat these mics. You can either use combined 1/4 inch output, or separate xlr outs, which is very useful (a lot of mics in this price bracket only offer combined out). The only thing that would make them better is if they had selectable channels - but you can't really find that on most VHF systems anyway. Highly recommend!
This was a last minute purchase to cover for a weekend because of a drunken idiot. Super fast delivery ensured I had them ready for next gig and an excellent back up choice. If your not too fussy on sound quality, these are ideal (they ain't Shure!) alao if u do karaoke where u wouldn't want to put a high end mic in a drunks hand
Buy cheap, buy twice! These mics are cheap and cheerful! They would be good for speeches, karaoke and kids parties so if they get knocked or dropped it doesn't really matter. They sound good and you don't have to crank the gain too high to get a good level. The mic outputs are either separate XLR (one for each channel) or one joint 1/4 inch jack output. Not really sure if the range on them is that great as they cut out intermittently if you're far from the receiver. Comes in a carry case with compartments for each part even the batteries (9V PP3). Would recommend for the price but don't expect much.
Bought these as back up for speeches etc as customers have this annoying habit of banging the top of the mic, or trying to walk to far with a lead mic. Nice feature as well having 2 different frequencies incase of interference. Very impressed with the sound quality and very durable to knocks etc. lasted well to the annoying banging & even dropped when other more expensive mics have suffered.
I bought these mics for karaoke around 2 years ago, and for the price they still going well, people have dropped them and the mic heads are dented badly but this doesn't effect at all, well worth the money for karaoke and good quality!!
Didn't know what to expect as I use a sm58,and these are cheap. The sound out of them is very good and easy to set up. Would recommend them. Bought them for Karaoke, so if a punter drops one its not expensive to replace.
