Gravity LS331B - Lighting Stand

Having purchased some gravity speaker stands earlier in the year I knew what I was letting myself in for with these lighting stands. Great quality, sturdy and small footprint compared to a tripod stand. Helps the set up look neat and tidy. A worthy purchase 👍🏻

This is a quality stand. I had been using a tripod before which in smaller spaces was a problem. Now I can have this pretty much right behind me and I'm not tripping over legs or knocking lights. I love the rubber holder for the safety pin! I highly recommend getting the bags (sold seperately) as these are superbly made.

I initially bought this to support a display tv for my selfie wizard but have since used it for a small lighting t-bar and for a mirrorball curve bracket. A bit weighty but gives you confidence in its stability

i use two of these to hold speakers They can hold lights or speakers and are incredibly versatile thanks to the 35mm pole with the m10 hole at the top Im very soon going to be using these stands to make a goalpost structure for lighting and backdrops so they really can be used for almost anything rnrnDue to the design of this product it does wobble more than a tripod which can make it look weak but i have placed around 25KG of weight on these stands and they have held nicely Note the max SWL of these is 20KG so dont exceed that when using them in publicrnrnThe base is pretty heavy carrying two at the same time can be a struggle over long distances Although the handles do make it a lot easier to carry rnrnIm under the impression that the holes either side of the screw hole are for cabling however im yet to fit an IEC plug through this so a bit irritating i havent tried a powercon through it yet but i reckon itll fitrnrnOther than that it works the same as a tripod it just looks so much neater and smarter than a tripod and still sturdy Id highly recommend this

I looked at this product as it represented a great alternative to tripod stands, particularly where space is limited. Gravity products are extremely well made and have a quality "feel" to them, built to last. The bases on these stands are heavy - somewhere around the 14-15kg mark - but this plants the stands firmly on the floor. The pole screws in to the threaded hole in the base plate and it's job done. You can use these stands to mount speakers and having purchased these stands I wouldn't have any reservations using them for this purpose. The top pole is 35mm, so you can also use clamps or top caps to mount light fixtures. At full height these stands measure 242cm high, minimum height that can be set I 142cm and there are 5 other heights in between these that can be set, using the popular hole / pin arrangement. I'm not sure I'd mount a heavy set of speakers at the top height on the basis of safety, light fixtures wouldn't be an issue. At full extension there is minimal movement possible at the top of the pole, but they are solid on the ground and this shouldn't be a problem. Overall a really top quality product. Expensive compared to a cheap set of tripods, but you are getting what you are paying for here. Space saving, versatile for either speakers or lighting, quick to put together and takes up very little space when packed / loaded. Recommended. Gets 5 stars from me.

I cannot stand tripods and yet needed something to mount lighting fixtures like my ADJ Warlocks up high. When I saw these, I knew they were the answer and now having purchased a pair, I'm sold. They may not be cheap but they are top quality and sold as a rock. The bases are heavy - buy the bags to help you transport them safely! The bases also have small feet and two holes so IEC cables can go under the base, up through a hole right behind the upright pole to your lighting fixtures on top (and buy the Gravity Cable Clips too - they're perfect for keeping cabling tidy). The uprights extend to something like 2.4m which is plenty high enough for my Warlocks. Overall, they look stunning in that you can barely see them - just how I like my lighting stands. 100% recommended.

Excellent piece of kit. Does have some too end movement where it isn't supported like a normal tripod but is it completely secure. Such a good buy
