For the price this is a great light.
It produces solid thick strong colours and reacts well to sound. Add some smoke and it's truly stunning. Run it in auto or adjustable sound sensitive modes. I purchased one initially and was so impressed I purchased another.
I was debating in my mind over two LED light units, the Equinox Duo LED Effect or the slightly more expensive Acme Boogie LED Effect. I can't say if the Acme Boogie is superior or not but I'm glad I went with the less expensive Equinox it hasn't disappointed and also saved me £11 per light over the Acme Boogie.
Just had mine delivered and straight out of the box it is a smashing bit of kit.
Firstly very light indeed.
Secondly quite bright.
I have attached mine to a lighting rig with no problem (it doesn't come with any fittigs, I just exchanged one of my lights on the rig for this one. Same hole fitting on the bracket).
Two options on the back of the Equinox. One is sound active. This comes with a sestivity knob in which you turn for less or more music sesitivity.
The other option is auto run in which the lights will dance randomly for you.
The brightness is good for something this small, although you probably would need two of them to fill a hall. However, for a smaller venue these (combined with some smoke effect) are an ace bit of kit.
