With any cables purchased I always carry out a continuity check before use. This cable showed a short between ground and another Pin. On checking the plugs and soldering I discovered that one plug was soldered perfectly but the other was poor. Ground / shield was far too long and consequently touching / shorting to one of the other Pins in the plug. As cables go the cable itself looks to be of good quality, the plugs seem reasonable but there doesn't seem to be much quality control at the manufacturer. Good job I checked before use - I'm not sure what damage this could have done to the kit it connects! No point returning this small item to djkit.com to replace - I can sort this myself - and this isn't a djkit.com problem, it's an issue with manufacture. Disappointing - gets 2 stars, just!
I'm always skeptical of cheaper XLR, Speakon or DMX cables but these XLRs are really nice to be honest. No sound breakup or interference noticed from these cables. Nice insulation too, not cheap and tacky. worked great for me!
Good quality cables to accompany my HK Linear 5 Club Pack
Came as part of the HK Linear 5 Club Pack. Good quality cables and no problems so far.
My review for the system can be found on my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vR1_PnLrTgs&list=PL7ACoCQRobhRKrO9g_dyBHudezjUYHZ6E
Great quality system with very clear sound. The top speakers sound great without the subs being used. A bit high on price but we'll worth it in the end. You would need a set of covers for these to protect your investment
Not bad, still using it now year plus on.. only concern is that the end of the XLR can accidentally be screwed off if not careful.
Would advise using red / white tape to make sure it can't and to signify Left or Right cable.
I haven't really used this much over the last couple of months of having it but it still works and is still in good condition so judging by my usage of it it's not just another cheap cable that lasts a couple of gigs then fails. All in all an average cable for the price.
