Denon DJ SC Live 4

The Denon DJ SC Live 4 is a complete solution for all DJ’s and all you need is an internet connection. SC Live 4 is a completely standalone system with built in WiFi, speakers, on board analysis, integrated lighting control and software controller. 

With four channels, you can play from multiple sources at the same time. Access millions of songs from Amazon Music Unlimited, Tidal, Beatport, Beatsource, Soundcloud GO or from a USB or SD card.  Connect to any or all of these streaming sources or use files from your own collection and the on board processor will analyse the tracks for BPM, key, beatgrid and waveforms - all within seconds. 

If you have your own, large collection of music files, use Engine DJ software on your computer to batch analyse and organise your tracks for instant use on Engine OS players including the Denon DJ Prime series. 

The high resolution 7 inch display has multitouch capability to easily browse and load tracks as well as view waveforms, using familiar gestures like swiping to scroll and load or pinching to zoom. 

Each side of the SC Live 4 has a 6 inch jog wheel with central LCD display showing information like track position, timing, BPM and deck number.  8 rubberised performance pads with backlit LEDs can be set to multiple modes such as hot cues, loops, roll and slicer. Make easy loops with a single press of a button. Autoloop creates a 4 beat loop and lets you adjust it with a simple turn of the same knob. 

The mixer section allows the user to mix music from four different sources, be it any of the streaming services or tracks stored on USB or SD card. Add effects easily with the familiar style FX section as well as sweep fx on each channel. The SC Live 4 also has 2 dedicated mic channels , the main one with talker and the second one switchable to an auxiliary stereo input. 

With built in speakers there’s no need for using external ones, the SC Live 4 has enough kick for using at home or to monitor a mix while you live stream. 

SC Live 4 also acts as hardware unlock for Serato DJ Pro with seamless control and if you have a Virtual DJ license the integration between hardware and software is hard to beat. 

Connect your Engine unit to the same network as your computer running Engine DJ to access tracks on your computer without exporting them. Your Engine unit will automatically see Engine DJ running on the same network where you will be able to access all tracks in the collection and playlists, all analysed and ready to go. 

Touch FX

Control different effects easily by moving your finger across the screen to create unique effects in the most effortless way. 

Drop Sampler 

8 available sample banks let you load your own or the pre-loaded samples to the performance pads and assign the output to any of the channels or the master output. Where the sampler is assigned to the master output, you can control the volume level on screen.

Engine OS units include pre-loaded sampler content with drum kits, scratch phrases and soudn effects.

Streaming services

SC Live 4 can connect to online services Tidal, Amazon Music Unlimited, Beatport Link, Beatsource Link, Soundcloud Go+  and load tracks in seconds as long as there’s an internet connection. 

You can also connect to a personal dropbox account to access your own tunes remotely. 

Lighting Control 

Run your DMX light show directly from the SC Live 4 once you have synchronised with SoundSwitch. You can also sync Philips Hue and Nano-Leaf lights with the SC Live 4 with no software or programming required.

Open dedicated screens to control lighting with direct colour overrides, XY movement and auto loops for intelligent “sound to light” style shows. 

Ableton Link Compatibility

Users can now sync tempo with external hardware using Ableton Link over both wired and wireless networks. Once Ableton Link has been enabled, an orange link icon will be shown in the top right of the toolbar providing the number of linked devices, sync lead tempo, and phase meter showing the current beat position. When synced, the tempo will match the tempo of the longest playing device. The lead tempo can be adjusted from any device and all other linked devices will automatically follow.

Day Mode

For summertime and brightly lit gigs, the really useful day mode inverts the screen colours to a white background with darker text and waveforms to make the display more visable.
