How to use Denon DJ Prime 4 Controller & SC5000 Prime with Serato DJ
Just over 2 years since the Denon DJ SC5000 Prime media players became compatible with Serato DJ software, Denon users rejoice as the full Prime Series is now compatible as well!
Yes that’s right, the Prime 4 controller, and SC5000M now seamlessly connect with Serato, and all it takes is one USB cable.
Although typically used, and promoted as a standalone controller, users of the Prime 4 have been asking for the Serato link since the 4 channel controller was announced at NAMM at the start of the year. The option to use Serato is obviously a massive bonus, and backup for the mobile DJ market, and all those who use the controller in standalone mode.
As the SC5000M’s motorised 7” platter nods towards hip hop and scratch DJs, a lot of people thought the media players should have been Serato compatible right from launch back in September 2018. Denon users prayers and patience have now been answered!
Product Specialist Matt Reay swung by The Ratcave to show Ratzi everything there is to know about the new update, connecting the units to Serato and boasting the seamless link between the hardware and software.
