Alto Black 15S Active Subwoofer with Crossover and Live Drive Wireless Control 2400-Watt (peak) active subwoofers: the Alto Black 18S and Alto Black 15S. These subwoofers feature 18” and 15” long-excursion LF transducers, respectively, to deliver well-defined low-end response, and each provides adjustable level and polarity controls. Both Black Series subwoofers offer stereo inputs: XLR+1/4” combo on the left channel and XLR on the right channel. Naturally, XLR outputs are provided, and both models feature a convenient built-in crossover, eliminating the need to purchase an external rack-mounted unit.

Confirmed PurchaseWith plenty of power and not just aimless power but a very musical subwoofer then this was a no brainer for me. This subwoofer goes low 9 unlike most bandpass designs ) and has a really nice tone to it. It somehow feels the room without holes in the bass like I have experienced in the pass. I have A/B tested this sub with a more expensive italian made speaker ( you probably know which one im on about ) and this beats it hands down for quality , output overall, a wider frequency rang and build. Talking about the build and its second to none, maybe a little bit heavy ( 90+ pounds ) but thats partly why it sounds so good. As well as all the above it has plenty of inputs and includes LIVE DRIVE so you can adjust the sound settings without going to the back of the cab and from your ipod/ipad etc. All in all I love this speaker and thats why I have 2. only time will tell if it holds up but by looking after it, I cant see why not. After owning the TS range from Alto and not having any issues in 3 years then my confidence in the Black sub is very high.
