Tenori-on layers can be thought of as performance parts or recording tracks and the Tenori on has a total of 16 layers. Separate notes and voices can be assigned to each layer and all layers can be played together in synchronization. The 16 layers are divided into six performance mode groups and have different note entry methods and operation
One complete set of 16 layers is called a block and the Tenori-on can store up to 16 of these programmed blocks in memory. You can then switch from block to block instantly during performance.

You could, for example, create a musical composition in one block, then copy that composition to another block and edit it to create a variation of the original composition. The first of these is Hot Cues. Each of the five triggers can be quickly set to different cue points in the track, ready to be triggered at will.
  Dicer is also ready to control Seratos Auto Loop and Loop Roll functions. In Auto Loop, the five dice buttons are assigned to loops of varying lengths to be activated during playback. Loop Roll takes control of repeatedly halving the loop length, with five steps assigned to the five buttons, from 1 beat down to 1/16 of a beat, delivering the ubiquitous stutter roll effect so popular with todays digital DJs. Default loop lengths provide a great starting point, but of course, each of Dicers five buttons can be set to have any length available.
  Dicer is also fully MIDI assignable. The five dice buttons combine with the three smaller mode buttons and a shift feature to provide up to 60 functions from a pair of Dicers.
